UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA

The University of Bologna was probably the first University in the western world. Its history is one of great thinkers in science and the humanities, making it an indispensable point of reference in the panorama of European culture.

Today the University of Bologna is one of the largest Universities in Italy, where over 87.000 students chose to study. It is a comprehensive University which offers a wide variety of programmes: 101 first level degree courses, 108 masters’ degree courses, and 51 PhD programmes, among which there is an increasing number of international courses.

 

Unibo considers internationalization a priority and is therefore committed to constantly strengthen international cooperation. According to a recent report by the National Committee for the Evaluation of the University System, the University of Bologna is today the most internationalised of all Italian universities.

 

Every year an increasing number of exchange students from all over the world are hosted at the University, and an increasing number of students enrolled at the University of Bologna have an international experience at a partner University abroad.
